Development Team Leader responsible for in-house and remote developers, sys admins, and third-party contractors working at multiple call centers across the country. Architected and led multiple cloud migrations from data centers and on-prem to AWS. Ongoing management and improvements to the fast-growing infrastructure including disaster recovery plans, more robust fault tolerance and high availability designs with automated scaling for high-volume periods. Used serverless and S3 lifecycle rules to manage automated retrieval and processing of call recording files.

Advised executive management on all Internet-related topics. Developed custom ETL tools in Perl and PHP to facilitate asset translations between various platforms. Worked as technical liaison between clients and development staff, translating client requirements with our capabilities. Evaluated incoming RFPs and outgoing proposals for technical completeness and feasibility.

Responsible for all phases of web-presence within the Computer & Engineering Publishing Group - a $92-million division of Addison Wesley Publishing. Managed a staff of five web and marketing specialists in three different divisions. Planned and executed unification of five disjointed web sites into a single database-driven, dynamic site in excess of 7,000 pages. Built and deployed the external interface and the back-end maintenance interface. Prototyped custom EDI with a separate Oracle database for e-commerce transactions.

Webmaster and System Admin for new interactive division of Addison-Wesley Publishing. Maintained web presence for AWI imprint. Prototyped interactive multimedia products using Java and JavaScript. Worked at the corporate level to develop Internet standards and guidelines adopted by the entire company.

Built and maintained the MathSource database engine using C and Perl. Built incoming email parser to respond to search and document requests and return result by email or dynamically-generated FTP location. Worked closely with Stephen Wolfram on design and user interface issues. Integrated the MathSource database engine with the Gopher protocols -- new technology at the time. This was one of the first databases ever to be put on the Internet for public use.
