Based in Riyadh from mid November 2014 until April 2015, the role involved working with the local staff team andreorting to the Executive Committee headed by Prince Turki bin Mohammed al Saud to ensure that all arrangements were in place with regards the field operations for the Exhibition and Symposium in memory of King Fahd of Saudi Arabia that ran for 15 days in March & April 2015 and attracted 80,000 attendees per day. The opening ceremony was attended by King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud and honourable guests from across Arab region including Prince's and senior government and military officers and business community.This project involved development of delivery plans, event safety plan, emergency procedures, contractor liaison and overall people management of 250 volunteers and staff. I was part of the senior management team for the event delivery period and responsible for ensuring crowd management and operations plans were implemented and issues were responded to appropriately and safely.
