A focused interest in applying cutting-edge AI techniques to analyse complex biological data and uncover insights that can inform novel approaches to diagnosing, treating, and managing cystic fibrosis. Motivated by a deeply personal connection, as my son has cystic fibrosis, I am passionate about the development of innovative solutions that have the potential to significantly improve the lives of individuals affected by this, and other medical conditions. Dissertation Project Title – Automated Detection of Lung Fibrosis in Chest X-ray Images – A Machine Learning ApproachProject Objectives:- Analyse how machine learning techniques used in computer vision can perform computer-aided diagnosis. - Fine-tune existing vision transformer (ViT) models using the NIH chest X-ray (CXR) dataset to do binary classification and diagnose fibrosis from the X-ray.
