🇺🇸Hello , my name is Mark Morais and I am an Immigration Attorney with several years of experience working for the private and public sectors, particularly with the U.S. government in different capacities for all 3 main federal immigration agencies. I have comprehensive knowledge of Immigration and Nationality laws of the U.S. My skills set involves a unique experience acquired after working as a private bar attorney as well as for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) including the following positions: 1) Immigration Prosecutor with ICE representing DHS in removal proceedings in Immigration Courts; 2) Asylum and Refugee Officer with USCIS; 3) Immigration Officer with USCIS; and 4) Federal Police - Customs and Border Protection Officer.During my tenure with ICE, I successfully appealed and overturned Immigration Judge’s decision before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). In addition, I have participated in the court and BIA levels in the litigation of a seminal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals’ remand decision.I was born in New York but I was raised in Brazil. I am the only Brazilian-American lawyer (attorney in both countries) who worked for the three main federal immigration agencies in the United States. I have the necessary skills to assist foreigners with immigration matters in the U.S. I hold a Juris Doctor degree in the United States. I have also obtained a Law Degree as well as a Business Degree in Brazil. I am licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and in the District of Columbia.
