I am the Head Houseboy at Kappa Delta Sorority. I help manage the daily operations of the kitchen, dining area, and pantry, ensuring quality and safety standards. I also coordinate with the chef and the other houseboys with scheduling, cleaning, and handling special requests. In addition to this role, I am pursuing a degree in Nutrition and a minor in Healthcare Reform & Innovation at The University of Texas at Austin, where I am expected to graduate in May 2025. I have a strong interest in the intersection of nutrition, health, and social justice to help me I become a physician who can address the health disparities faced by marginalized communities and promote high quality based care.Prior to joining Campus Cooks, I worked as a Leasing Agent at Landmark Properties, Inc., where I was a Community Ambassador for Moontower Apartments, a student housing complex near the campus. I sold apartments to individuals and helped with on-site residential services, giving an average of two tours a day and signing 2.24 people per week on average. I developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a customer-oriented mindset, through this experience. I also have been working as an Assistant Cabin Counselor at CAMP (Children's Association for Maximum Potential) from May 2021 to July 2022, providing an inclusive camp experience for individuals with disabilities. I helped lead a cabin of campers, volunteers, and other coworkers through daily activities, while managing their diets, medication(s), and personal care. In May 2023 I was promoted to Chief Cabin Counselor to lead and manage tribes. I was also a part of speaker series for volunteers to teach volunteers how to provide a positive experience to campers while ensuring their personal and medical needs were met. I learned how to work with diverse and special needs populations, and how to foster a supportive and respectful environment for everyone. This is my driving passion into making a positive difference in the lives of others, and I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to any team that I join.
