It has been a long slow recovery from the Global Financial Crisis here in the Bahamas but we are now seeing steady growth in the Real Estate Market and looking forward to an exciting 2018. Harbour Island, Bahamas

Acting as Project Manager for a local contractor. Currently performing three separate projects valued at roughly $1m each.Position as Project Manager includes estimating and bidding jobs; contract administration; site liaison with construction foremen, subs & laborers; correspondence with owner, architect and other consultants; procurement of all materials; scheduling, submittals, accounting, and payroll; quality control; coordination of materials by owner and all other aspects of works from start to finish.

Harbour Island

Real estate sales agent for HG Christie, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, working with clients in the high-end real estate market of Harbour Island. Acting as an agent focuses on generating leads and networking, marketing existing listings and providing detailed information to buyers about the local market with regards to options of buying, building and/or renovating.

Harbour Island, Bahamas

$3 million renovation where nine original suites built of reinforced concrete were replaced with twelve well-appointed timber-frame suites, entailing demolition of entire top floor of main building. Renovation also included a major revamp of the main floor lobby and an extension of the restaurant dining room, two wells drilled accompanied by a new RO plant and a 1000 sqft wood structure for a gift shop. This was a fast-tracked project and was completed 3 months ahead of schedule.

Harbour Island, Bahamas

Assisted the owner’s representative with the completion of three beachfront homes at The Dunmore Beach Private Residences Development. Directly responsible for quality control, overseeing local contractors and sub-trades and coordinating interior design FF&E.

Bell Island, Exumas, Bahamas

Bell Island Service Yard - $55m commercial project consisting of offices, staff buildings, storage warehouses, power and water generation facilities, boat and equipment hangers and workshops, x2 commercial kitchens and more. Promoted to become directly responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction and site activities, including sub-contractors, manpower, logistics and safety. Substantially completed ahead of schedule in July 2013.In addition to above, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning of all aspects of the temporary construction worker camp along with a 3,000 sqft canteen serving 3 meals per day to all, a medical facility and a small snack shop. Also notable was involvement with the original design and construction of the worker camp in Jan 2012 that housed an average of 150 construction workers.

Bell Island, Exumas, Bahamas

Bell Island Guest Cottages - $8m residential renovation project completed on schedule. Project included stripping three large existing guest houses down to basic structure and brought back to Level 5 finishes per internationally renowned architect/interior designers’ specifications. Directly responsible for all site activities, sub-contractors, materials and manpower, logistics, design coordination and communication.

Little Halls Pond Cay, Exumas, Bahamas

Café Cabrones - $3m beach bar performed concurrently with project above. Project was at a remote and undeveloped location on the island and required the construction of a temporary roro ramp on an environmentally sensitive beach in order to bring equipment and materials ashore. Directly responsible for all site activities, sub-contractors, materials and manpower, logistics, design coordination and communications.

Insulated concrete formwork distributor. Senior founding partner of a startup construction company that focused on cutting edge and alternative technologies. Performed and subcontracted several large projects throughout the Bahamas and worked alongside industry leaders in energy-efficient design and the implementation of alternative energy systems and other ‘green’ technologies. The performance by Quadlock of a large residential project in Normans Cay, Exuma in 2010-2011 led to my recruitment by Osprey Construction Co. Ltd for Bell Island.

Senior founding partner of a highly energetic and successful start-up business which involved design, procurement and installation of high-end custom kitchen cabinetry. The company was recognized with numerous design and sales awards. Due to decreased demand for custom cabinetry the company is currently shelved.
