CurrentI have been primarily responsible for the strategic, financial and people management of the property, leading a sizeable team across sales, front office, accounts, housekeeping and maintenance as well as overseeing budgeting, forecasting and P&L. This has included leveraging my strengths in data analysis to monitor quality and consistency as well as financial performance.Highlights of this tenure include taking Quest from fifth place to first place in Manly accommodation preferences within two years of my appointment, and maintaining that position for the hotel's lifespan. I also Increased all key metrics including ARR, REVPAR, turnover and guest satisfaction by over 30 per cent within 18 months of joining the Quest team.Additional Achievements • Fostered highly successful stakeholder relationships, engaging directors as well as strata, suppliers, local business owners and community groups to build trust and ensure strong outcomes across the board.• Drove initiatives to stimulate activity in the off-season, including a simple, cost-effective marketing campaign that returned 160 additional room nights.• Developed a highly effective pricing and booking strategy in anticipation of low demand, revising peak-period terms and staggering offers to increase occupancy without filling the hotel at discounted rates. • Attained the extremely low staff attrition rate of 6 per cent, building and empowering high-performing teams; and managing staff redeployment at business closure.• Built and developed a dependable team of quality tradespeople to maintain a $60 million asset, and add value.• Successfully managed and delivered major projects on-time and to-budget, including 54 kitchens ; and a bathroom refurbishment, resulting in substantial ROI despite challenging conditions.• Pivoted rapidly and successfully in response to the challenges posed by COVID-19, developing policies, procedures and protocols for managing influxes of positive guests and quarantine.
