Health & Co is the private billing division of forHealth; a subsidiary of Healius (ASX:HLS) which was acquired by BGH Capital in 2020 for $500m.- Health & Co generates c. $50m revenue annually with operations in 10 general practice clinics with 120+ GPs and 180+ staff.- Responsible for all aspects of the finance function for Health & Co; including strategy, M&A, budgeting and forecasting, operations, and payroll for a start-up division of Healius Ltd.- Managed the acquisition of medical practices across Australia. Health & Co acquired 10 practices with a 17% cash ROIC- Following the sale to BGH, I was tasked with building the tax and treasury functions within the new stand alone entity including cash flow forecasting, liaising with the lending syndicate, and tax compliance including BAS and FBT lodgement- Managed development of team members into more senior roles and greater responsibility within the organisation

EY's Capital Markets group helps companies through the process of debt and equity offerings including IPO's, coupled with ad hoc transactional assistance. We primarily focus on US listed enterprises or those clients wishing to list in the US, however, we have significant exposure to UK listings and the high yield debt markets. During my time in this group I was responsible for:- US GAAP conversion- Consulting engagements providing assistance with new accounting guidance - IFRS 15 revenue recognition- Multi location SOX implementation- Audits of US listed corporation's UK based subsidiaries

Technical secondment to Walgreens Boots Alliance to assist with:- SEC filings- Writing whitepapers to analyse and conclude on complex accounting issues - Accounting policy creation- US GAAP implementation across international entities

Transfered into Transaction Advisory Services from External Audit while continuing to service my main audit client; a Private Equity holding company. Transaction advisory projects included:- Led financial due diligence projects, including buy-side and sell-side- Quality of Earnings- Working capital analysis- Balance sheet and income statement analysis- Prepare and present transaction advisory reports

My key client in external audit was a Private Equity holding company that frequently involved auditing business combinations, disposals, debt modifications, and other complex, non-standard transactions. External audit projects included:- Managed non-integrated audits and integrated quarterly reviews in compliance with generally accepted auditing standards- 10-k and 10-q filings- S-3 equity offerings and shelf registrations- Accounting research on non-standard transactions and presenting findings/proposing accounting treatment- Principal experience includes private equity holding companies with exposure to manufacturers including media and communications, energy providers, and construction- Represent firm through recruiting activities both in-house and through attendance at conferences and university recruiting functions.

- Super fund compliance involving NAV calculations, financial statement preparation and report creation- Researched accounting standards and prior legal cases to create strategies for high net worth individuals to minimize their taxation obligations- Streamlined super fund compliance through excel and macro template creation for the analysis of corporate actions- Income tax return preparation for companies, trusts and individuals- Bookkeeping adjustments using a variety of accounting software programs (MYOB, Quickbooks, etc.)

Responsible for testing new software releases for glitches and ensuring the usability of in house software. As part of product management I was often called upon to explain all in-house systems on a day to day basis and train staff across the Australian, American and United Kingdom based offices in new software releases. I was also required to work with the member services division to construct both internal and external reports.
