I’ve been described by a number of my peers and in numerous publications as the “ultimate Vegas insider,” and while I don’t claim this title on my own, I suppose that my lengthy history and involvement in Las Vegas has provided my peers with reasoning to title me as such. As a second generation Las Vegan, I’ve always been fascinated with the city’s inner workings from the real estate aspect to the service and hospitality industries fueling and propelling the city’s economy. This fascination began at an early age as I walked through the casino floor with my father, a real estate broker, receiving buffet comps from the pit manager. Eventually, this fascination coupled with the love of business development as a whole, as well as my entrepreneurial spirit and ambitions, would lead me to become involved in real estate – taking the exam at only 16 years old. I would also become the youngest Las Vegan, at age 18, to be involved in real estate at that time. Before the age of 20, I also had two startup companies, both of which taught me the value of the dollar as well as provided perspective into business operations. At the age of 21, I began as one of the very first VIP Hosts in the nightlife industry for The Drink and Eat Too, simply known as The Drink. This establishment quickly became the number one nightclub in the world and was the tipping point for the Las Vegas nightclub revolution that we see today. The Drink was owned by Michael Morton (of the Morton family’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Morton’s Steakhouse) and Scott Degraff – both of whom were also the founders of N9NE Steakhouse, Ghostbar, Rain Nightclub, Playboy Club and Moon Nightclub.Following The Drink, I continued my career working with Morton and Degraff, who later partnered with the Maloof family.
