Responsible for Legal, Mergers and Acquisitions, M&A Integration, Procurement/ Synergies, Health & Safety and Sustainability for JLG Industries (www.jlg.com) in the EMEAI region.

Responsible for Manufacturing, Purchasing, Logistics, Continuous Improvement and Safety for JLG Industies in the Europe, Middle East, Africa and India region (EMEAI). JLG Industries (www.jlg.com) is the company’s Access Equipment business. Key activities in this role to date include leading the closure of a manufacturing facility, the restructuring of the Purchasing (GPSC) department and the negotiation and closure of a major outsourcing contract. I report to the Vice President & General Manager of JLG EMEAI, with matrix reporting lines to the Vice President of Global Operations and the Vice President of Global GPSC. As a member of the JLG EMEAI Management Team, I am co-accountable for the financial results of the JLG EMEAI business.

Responsible for the Legal and Safety teams for JLG Industries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and Russia (EMEAIR), as well as Asia. Successfully lead several cross functional Continuous Improvement initiatives. Daily activities of the Legal team included the management of all legal matters in EMEAIR and Asia, including the negotiation of sales and supply contracts, outsourcing contracts, manufacturing contracts, distributor contracts, (re)financing of equipment, workout and bankruptcy scenario’s regarding Strategic Major Accounts and other customers, (product liability) litigation, reductions in force and (tax related) restructurings. Daily activities of the Safety team concerned Product Safety and Reliability, as well as the management of the Health and Safety structure of our organization. I was reporting to the Segment General Counsel. In addition, I had a matrix reporting line to the Vice President & General Manager EMEAIR. As a member of the JLG EMEAIR Management Team, I was co-accountable for the financial results of the JLG EMEAIR business.

Established and managed the legal function for Oshkosh Corporation’s activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), including JLG Industries and the company’s Commercial and Fire & Emergency Segments. Daily activities were similar to the activities described above for the Legal team. I reported directly to the General Counsel of Oshkosh Corporation. As a member of the JLG EMEA Management Team, I was co-accountable for the financial results of the JLG EMEA business.

Responsible for miscellaneous legal matters in the USA, UK, France, Germany and Vietnam, reporting to the company’s CEO. Daily activities included the negotiation of (multi million) joint ventures, purchase & sale agreements and loan agreements for real estate transactions, as well as the (tax) structuring and formation of international real estate developments and investment funds and all other kinds of financial transactions. I also served as the company’s Compliance Officer and was their main point of contact for the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets.The IBUS Company was a leading and innovative company in international real estate investments, asset management and advisory services, which at that time had introduced in excess of EUR 1.1 billion in total investment consideration to high net worth individuals, family offices and institutional investors.

Independently investigating profit warnings by listed companies with a significant impact on their share price and issueing reports to the Management Board regarding the (timely) disclosure of price sensitive information. These reports were then brought before the Listing and Issuing Rules Advisory Committee for hearing, assessment and subsequent publication of the committee’s decision. These investigations were performed in close coordination with (in house) counsel and typically involved face to face meetings with the CEO, CFO and/ or General Counsel of the listed companies in question, as well as reviewing their financial reports, internal management reporting, (supervisory) board meeting minutes and draft press releases, as well as attending the hearings of the committee.
