Skip to the bottom of this text...If you're here for a comprehensive overview of myself, my skills, and my work history, I'll save you some time and tell you to stop reading now. What I can tell you is that completing this summary was the final step LinkedIn required of me before granting me "All-Star" status, and who wouldn't want that?Still here? Then you must be curious to learn something about me regardless. Very well, I'll share some not-so-exciting information. In addition to fulfilling LinkedIn's requirements, I also spend my time working in the web3 space, exploring new technologies and using various blockchains and other DLT solutions across different industries and contexts. I could elaborate on all the technologies and projects I work on, but I'll let you use your imagination and assume I'm involved in the most cutting-edge and desirable ones.Generally speaking, I am highly motivated, sometimes more than highly, which can lead to overthinking, overachieving, and undersleeping, resulting in burnout. As such, I should be closely monitored if the task at hand is particularly thrilling.I'm deeply interested in human psychology, and I believe in the adage "your life is what your thoughts are." I believe that individuals can accomplish incredible things with the right mindset. Additionally, I'm fascinated by economics and business in general, particularly in understanding the inner workings of everyday concepts such as money, credit, and taxes, as well as the various methods and perspectives that lead to successful ventures.Lastly, if you've made it this far, I guess that I can now add writing and marketing skills to my list of skills. 😄And now, for the person who skipped through the entire text for this sentence, I appreciate that you are very collaborative and would be delighted to work with you. Don't hesitate to reach out to me. 😊(And for the person who read the entire text, despite being advised not to, I'd love to hang out and grab a drink with you. We can make big things.😄)

Blockchain ArchitectGoldrepublic Oct 2023 - PresentAmsterdam, North Holland, NetherlandsBringing real-world assets such as gold, platinum, and silver into the digital realm of blockchain technology combining centuries-old preservers of value with modern technology. This creates a perfect bridge for bringing precious metals into the 21st Century’s digital economy, upgrading it with proof of ownership, ease of storage, and transparency. My mission was first to understand all the processes of Gold Republic’s current system, which has been developed for easy buying and selling of allocated gold. This included grasping its technical aspects that comprise a robust, 10+ years old software system, as well as understanding the business processes and how blockchain technology can support the current system, enriching it with new functionality and possibilities in the world of Web3.Designing the architecture of a blockchain system that will be in real-time sync with GoldRepublic’s current system, along with standard web2 services to support the integration of the blockchain, was the first major challenge. The system on the blockchain side includes a dozen smart contracts that together will allow users to have their gold positions represented in their wallets. They will be able to trade it completely on the blockchain and third-party platforms, following all industry standards of interoperability, security, as well as KYC and AML policies. On the web2 side, the focus was on making the two systems function as asynchronously as possible. This was achieved by leveraging an event-driven architecture and working with message queues (MQs).All in all, this is one of the most challenging and exciting projects I have ever taken part in. It has significantly deepened my knowledge in both blockchain and technical aspects, as well as in the financial and business side of things. -
