Hybrid and cross-functional role as senior in-house legal advisor and business manager of the Society's two flagship professional development programs for solicitors in Queensland: the Practice Management Course (PMC) and the Specialist Accreditation Scheme (SPEC). Responsible for leading on all legal, risk and governance, strategic planning and business operations for both programs. Secretariat to the PMC Committee, the Specialist Accreditation Board and the respective Specialist Accreditation Advisory Committees. Project management of strategic collaborations with interstate law societies, the legal industry and universities. Member of the Business Continuity and Risk Management Advisory Committee.

In-house legal counsel advising the Executive Leadership and Council on matters concerning governance, risk and regulatory compliance, data security and information privacy, contract negotiation and procurement, occupational health and safety, and intellectual property. Represented the Society for all litigious matters before the Courts and Tribunals in relation to regulatory matters under the Legal Profession Act 2007 (QLD) and commercial disputes. Reported to the General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and the Executive Leadership. Member of the Business Continuity and Risk Management Advisory Committee.

Practised in the Insurance Defence team representing and advising self-insurers in relation to all aspects of statutory and common law claims under the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 (Qld). Managing public liability claims on behalf of insurers and large corporations under the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002 (Qld).

Special Projects Solicitor working in the areas of professional negligence claims against solicitors and financial advisors, and general commercial litigation.

Represented and advised financial institutions, large national and multinational corporations, and government agencies in insolvency and reconstruction, commercial litigation & dispute resolution, taxation recoveries, securities enforcement, and Due Diligence, commercial sales, acquisitions and leasing.

Attending trials and assisting his Honour with research and prepartion of judgments.
