Here is a sampling of what I have accomplished:- Built what is today a Top 10 Supply Chain undergraduate and graduate program in North America.- Co-designed an award-winning business school building.- Reinvented the Supply Chain Center of Excellence to support student development, engagement and programmatic direction of our OSCM major. - Designed fundraising, marketing, and student engagement strategies, resulting in a 190% increase in funding revenue and a 30% growth in OSCM major students.- Maintained nearly 100% placement rates for undergraduate students for over a decade.- Secured $1 million in funding for the establishment of an Advanced Automation Lab in collaboration with Marquette's Opus College of Engineering.- Won multi-million-dollar research funding in manufacturing servitization, multi-tier supply network management, and supply chain risk and resilience.- Received a multitude of research excellence awards.- Educated diverse audiences, ranging from executives, PhDs, graduate and undergraduate students.WHO AM I?Supply chain management has always been my passion, starting from my high school summers working on assembly lines and in warehouses. I was warned early to temper my ambitions—like driving my dad’s van, because in the ‘valley’, people are educated to “bring things to the van”. I ignored the ‘wisdom’, went to university, got myself a job, and learned the craft from the ground up. I managed inventory optimization projects, implemented preventive maintenance rollouts, worked in procurement teams, led ERP implementations, and managed financial and operations controlling teams.Reflecting back, it has never really been about ambition, but rather about an innate curiosity of mine. This curiosity for learning and deep thinking led me to academia. Here, I discovered my purpose in creating impact through knowledge creation, and application in the areas of procurement, supply chain risk and sustainability.On this journey, I learned that when you combine purpose with curiosity, the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate vertically and horizontally with talented people great things happen.
