As a member of the Sales and Service team, I supported and serviced some of Aetna International’s largest and most complex customers. This required understanding international health care systems and country-specific nuances in order to help individuals access high-quality healthcare when and where they need it. I worked daily with consultants and companies to create, refine, and administer international benefit plans for their employees. While my work extends worldwide, my areas of expertise are in coordinating health care solutions in Canada, Africa and Asia. • Improved cashless-care solutions in Canada from only one out of seven key regions being at target success levels to having six of seven at or above target within the space of one year. Consistent training, network building, and pushing for alternative payment methods were the key drivers of improvement.• Returned $70,000 in claims payments to a customer through identifying waste and duplication in the claims payment process. Taught myself how to effectively use Microsoft Access to analyze over 200,000 claim records to identify these inefficiencies.• Organized flu vaccination clinics in Canada, Mongolia, and Indonesia for members on assignment. Created educational materials for members preparing for assignment on where to find information on, and how to receive, proper vaccinations prior to traveling. For members in remote parts of Africa, I worked with international shipping companies to deliver ongoing shipments of malaria prophylaxis to protect against illness.• Awarded as one of twenty of Aetna’s 50,000+ employees as running one of the most excellent customer meetings of 2017. Customizing the use of our customer resources to tailor the meeting contents, the supplemental materials, and entire environment of the location led to receiving this award
