I am accountable for providing Googler’s with an Off The Grid style experience each day on the Mountain View campus. From setup and breakdown, to customer service, in this position I wear many hats.I joined Off The Grid during a time of great growth for the company. The company was challenged with providing an mobile food experience that was similar to their own established events at Fort Mason Center and other parts of the Bay AreaSuccess in this role is measured by my ability to be a self-starter and work independently from the team. I must be able to determine the best course of action as obstacles present themselves each day. All to ensure that the guests have the best experience possible.

Through extensive knowledge of Apple products, third party software and accessories I help around 100 customers a day find the best solution for their needs. In addition to this, I facilitate a group set-up table of 10-15 customers at a time all at different stages of set-up, knowledge level and skill level using Apple products. Patience, communication and empathy are all skills used during interactions with customers and coworkers to ensure a positive environment.

During the Pebble Beach annual AT&T Pro-Am tournament I managed and oversaw the operation of a concessions tent on the Spyglass Hill Golf Course. I worked with a team of 29 other members from San Jose State together we formed the Special Events Management Team. Together we all made sure that the Pro-Am Hospitality Tents, Sky Suits and Corporate Chalets operated to the standards of Pebble Beach.

As an Orientation Leader I made sure that incoming Frosh and their families had a smooth transition to college life. Every week I lead a small group of 10-15 students through the orientation process in which they chose their classes, were introduced to over 500 resources at SJSU, and made connections with other incoming students. I worked closely with other the other Orientation Leaders to maintain a safe environment for students, help ease the nerves of students and their family members through this tough transition, and make sure the program went according to schedule.

Working at the Aquatic Center I have a number of responsibilities. Ensuring the safety of guests in and around the pool is my main concern while on duty. Off the pool deck I work the cash register at the entrance, do regular checks of the pools chemical levels, and maintain the facility as needed through out the day.

As Head Lifeguard at the Antioch Water Park, I would actively supervise lifeguard performance on the pools during operating hours. Another responsibility of the Head Lifeguards is to ensure that all guest's customer service issues were dealt with in a profession manner. After hours, during weekly lifeguard trainings, Head Lifeguards would train Lifeguards and help them improve their water safety skills.

As a lifeguard at the Antioch Water Park, I ensure the safety of guests while they swim in the pools and ride the slides. My second duty of being a lifeguard is to give quality costumer service. I make sure that patrons are well informed of rules of the water park as well as directing them towards restroom, concessions and other attractions in the park.
