I am passionate about emerging technologies and utilising them to help solve global challenges.I have a vast array of experience leading the design, development, manufacture and commercialisation of multiple products having spent 20+ years in the manufacturing sector. I have contributed to a range of diverse industries including medical device manufacture, subsea applications, automated food processing, furniture, lighting, boat building and more.I have experience leading projects that integrate complex mechanical, electrical and software systems.My previous roles involved streamlining design and production processes to reduce time to market, lead time, cost and internal training whilst increasing productivity and customer experience.Implementing technologies such as additive manufacturing, CAD/CAM and process automation into product offerings has been an exciting aspect of my career.Bringing products like Hydrus, a fully autonomous underwater drone (AUV) has been a career highlight due to the cross-functional collaboration required to develop a product packed with technology in a miniature form factor.During my role as Vice President Production, I was responsible for overseeing the design and manufacture of patient specific medical implants, anatomical BioModels, surgical tools and guides. I managed a team of engineers and laboratory technicians who produce cutting edge medical devices.Working in the medical device industry as a manager and design engineer was extremely rewarding and allowed me to stretch my creativity and manufacturing knowledge to help make positive changes in people’s lives.
