I lead Democracy Live's information security and privacy team to identify and manage risk in our technology stack, application data, and business practices. Oversee and coordinate security efforts company-wide including risk mitigation, compliance, operational, and financial security risk strategies relating to assets and personnel. Responsible for company-wide security policy and procedure, security architecture and engineering vulnerability management. Lead and manage the coordinated effort with various State governments to document and comply with NIST 800-53 cybersecurity framework and work with auditors to achieve and maintain Democracy Live's SOC 2 Type 2 certification.

Spearheaded the technology roadmap for implementation and integration of a rapidly expanding vertically integrated startup. • Lead design and build-out of a new secure 10,000 sq.ft. production facility. Integration of physical security (CCTV, and keycard entry) and secure network with satellite offices and agricultural production site. • Assembled and mentored an offshore development team to develop a headless microservices eCommerce platform saving an estimated $500K the first year. • Researched and designed biomass tracking and monitoring systems for on farm use.
