Mark Panthofer is a passionate leader, practitioner and author, focused on using cloud native DevOps to improve business results. He supports the enterprise adoption of cloud native DevOps capabilities, driven by platform engineering. Mark's day job includes thought leadership, client workshops and advisory services related to DevOps, cloud architecture, microservices, containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes. In March of 2019, Mark published a book, Mastering Docker Enterprise (Packt Publishing), based largely on his work with Docker’s professional services teams as a Docker-accredited consultant, and Docker Certified Associate. Additionally, he also works with the Mirantis (Docker) Training organization as an accredited instructor and adviser. At nvisia, Mark leads the charge in DevOps and Cloud. The services blend cloud architecture with cloud native tech like containers, microservices, CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes platforms into a crawl, walk and run adoption approach to establish DevOps fundamentals across enterprise app dev, automation, DevSecOps, and infrastructure teams, using an agile approach. Mark is a regular presenter at regional tech events including the Prodcon Chicago/Milwaukee, Milwaukee Tech Showcase, Docker Chicago and Docker Milwaukee meetups.Mark hold a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), where he continues to support their DevOps curriculum and Software Engineering Advisory Board. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and learning new stuff.Personal distractions include:- Scary home improvement projects, rebuilding engines, and playing electric acoustic guitar - Outdoors: Water skiing, wake surfing, motorcycles and off road adventures- Nerdy hobbies: Raspberry PI projects for home security and automation
