Hosted a visit to Sandwell by Geelong school Principals and the Corio-Norlane project director.Led the implementation of national ICT initiatives for schools in Sandwell and large scale local education authority ICT procurements; including Laptops for Teachers, Computers for pupils, National Grid for Learning (NGfL), etc.Member of the BECTA procurement review group for the Laptops for Teachers scheme.Proposed an integrated approach to developing broadband services for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough, drawing together and coordinating diverse national initiatives. Developed and co-wrote a bid to Government Office West Midlands on behalf of the Sandwell Partnership, securing £23 Million of Single Regeneration Budget round 6 fundingDeveloped and co-wrote a bid securing £4 million from Sandwell’s Single Regeneration Budget round 4 programme to establish a community and schools e-learning network in Smethwick.
