The job has you working a little of everything in the store. Sales, customer service, cashier, receiving and unloading shipments, keeping the store clean and tidy as well as rotating all product on a strict schedule. This also includes caring for the animals, from food and watering them to cleaning and caring for sick animals ranging from small animals and reptiles to fish and birds. The job also entails handling the money in the safe, training new employees, working towards target store metrics as well as ordering what is need to keep the store in working order. Personally, I also help with merchandising product in and around the store, as well as trouble shooting technical issues when needed and keeping an eye on store used products to make sure the team always has what they need on hand.
