I believe in the transformative power of higher education. My life has changed because of it and I have witnessed its effect in the lives of thousands of students and alumni with whom I have worked.I have built a record of higher education excellence in advancement, student affairs, admissions, and academic affairs at nationally recognized institutions like Dartmouth College, Northwestern University, and Connecticut College. While working at Northwestern University, I attended law school at night (completed five legal internships/clerkships) to become an attorney. I briefly practiced as a labor attorney for the Chicago Board of Education but returned to my life's calling - higher education.I have excellent people skills (built upon my appreciation for and support of diversity and inclusion), an ability to build community and develop programs and events, strong individual and group advising skills, leadership skills (of staff and volunteer teams), and strong communication (written, oral, and presentation skills.
