I am the kind of person that develops interests very easily. Because of this, I feel like I always have something to talk with other people about. Often, that means I end up learning something new.My career so far has involved lots of relationship-building with people with diverse backgrounds, specializations, and expertise. Here, I would like to share a few highlights from my career so far:CINEPLEX:💍I developed life-long friendships and met my wife here.📽Learning 35mm film projection and ultimately becoming a specialist in digital projection🎊Opening Cineplex Cinemas Lansdowne & VIP in Ottawa as a member of the management team.PASS LEADER:💻Seeing students that were struggling with their coursework come back to my sessions week after week and successfully complete the course.DIGITAL MAIN STREET:👨‍🏫Having the opportunity to develop training, work closely, and share my management & leadership experience with individuals who were entering their first leadership roles.🖥I am proud of what I accomplished with all of the businesses I worked with, but one stands out in my mind. She ran a spa, and when she couldn’t provide her services during the pandemic, I helped her pivot to selling skincare products online, providing remote consultations, and blogging. I provided training in eCommerce and digital marketing, and she ran with it.My professional experience is just a piece of what makes me who I am. Here are some of my personal interests:🎬Movies/film exhibition–I love watching movies (new, old, cult, popular), keeping tabs on the box office, film history, and learning about theatres. 🎵Music—I love exploring new music. My go-to genre is folk, but I will explore it all. Years ago, I was a guitarist in a band with my brother and played several other instruments.👨‍🍳Cooking–I love cooking and learning about new foods and cuisines. I have a collection of kitchen gear and I am an aspiring knife nerd.🚀Space/science—As a kid, I was obsessed with Bill Nye and people generally saw me as a bit of a nerd.
