Automated Network Health. ● Scaling a streaming processing system that detects failures in networking and other datacenter hardware.● Mentoring and training new members of the team, reviewing designs for long-term maintainability, and planning growth areas.● Expanded our coverage to long-range optical networks, with multiple vendors, complex topology, and unique failure modes.● Developed a Backtester to ensure release safety; two other engineers attempted this project and failed.

Consonance Software was an attempt to help enterprises manage security in complex ERP systems.

● Internet.org: Built software to forward existing Layer 2 (IP) traffic details over a Layer 3 (TCP) satellite tunnel, to take advantage of hardware network optimizations only available for TCP.● Cross Data Center: Built algorithm to reduce intra-regional load variance between data centers, increasing total Facebook capacity by 7 Million users.

Lead technical development of a suite of cross platform social games, for the web, iphone and android. The challenges included dealing with outsourcing firms in both Ukraine and China. Popover was acquired by Playsino in August 2012.

Created charting and analytics platform, for use by the operations team.

New features and improvements in low latency electronic trading system, using C++, C#, and some python. Designed, wrote, and deployed an asynchronous multicast API for broadcast pub/sub communication, in a mixture of C++ and C#. It delivered information about future price movements to our trading engines.Helped scale the system up from tens to hundreds of machines, trading on tens to hundreds of symbols.

Designed and implemented a tool to measure disc load performance for different DVD layouts. The tool recorded all of the disc reads by the game while it ran, and then replayed this sequence of reads and writes against different disc layouts.

Implemented a secure one time password protocol for a distributed computing system, using a mixture of C, C++, SQL, and a proprietary derivative of LISP.

I ran the Help Desk for a medical device manufacture, supporting local users at four offices and approximately 50 field sales representativies.
