Role focused on employment services reform policy development including strategic policy input and advice to ensure coherence across employment service reform measures management and maintaining ultimate responsibility for the Australian Government response to the Select Committee report and the public roadmap outlining employment services reform process.

The Workforce Australia Select Committee Taskforce is a time limited taskforce responsible for the department's engagement with the cabinet select committee into the implementation and effectiveness of Workforce Australia employment services. Tasks include preparing a high-quality departmental submission, conducting research, reviewing and summarising submissions, and being responsive to requests of the Committee and ensuring that departmental executives have high quality briefings for appearances before the Committee.

I managed the team's work on international bodies including APEC and OECD committees, maintaining a focus on the G20 Employment Working Group representing Australia's labour and employment interests, supporting and participating in G20 working group and ministerial meetings. This included managing the briefing process, conducting international negotiations of ministerial declaration text in a multilateral context, development of presentations for an international audience and the development of briefings for the Department's Executive and the Minister for Employment. I have also worked with other governments and international organisations on a range of policy issues, including the future of work, and identified key policy lessons from other countries' experience.

Policy development including the development of new policy proposals and structural adjustment support packages, research, administration and program management including of an international nature. Most recently in my role I managed a team of employment facilitators based across regions of high unemployment or specific labour market disadvantage throughout Australia to provide support and coordinate employment and skills opportunities for jobseekers, retrenched workers and other job seekers. My role also included management of the facilitators in developing projects for the Regional Employment Trials program.
