Re-engineered the accounting function and implemented process improvements that resulted in a 30% reduction in operating expense; a significant increase in internal customer satisfaction, and greatly improved employee morale. Directed the project team that achieved a conversion to an Oracle general ledger system ahead of project schedule and below budget. Won the Nortel CFO Award of Excellence.

Directed internal audit staff activities in the performance of accounting and operational internal audits of key domestic and international business units. Managed the due diligence effort that identified $10M of financial exposures in a pending business entity acquisition.
