In all my varied experiences I have been drawn to how business affects people and through my financial skills I have found ways to save money, reduce costs and remove risk. I served as an Accountant for 14 years at colleges/universities/extension of them. Then I worked in the non-profit arena for 9 years, 2 years as an Accountant then 7 years leading various non-profits. After that, I worked with Hickory Farms (2 holiday seasons for Nov/Dec) and SunTrust Bank. For the past 5 years, I was the Full Charge Bookkeeper, managing 22 grants and a $2.1 million dollar budget.
