What I do: I help users of Autodesk Civil Infrastructure applications (principally Civil 3D, MAP 3D, Infraworks and Vehicle Tracking) make the best use of their software - to automate processes, improve design and reduce risk. How I do it: I host online and onsite standardised and custom training and respond to customer technical issues with prompt online or offline support (e.g. live web, video, workflows) and including programming new add-on applications.Why is it needed: Prompt and experienced technical support and appropriate directed training is an essential component in deriving maximum benefit from the time savings and improved design which these powerful but complex applications can deliver. e.g. we recently created a simple program for a multinational civil engineering consultancy which reduced the time needed to create 3D solar panel arrays by 90%.I am a Chartered Geomatics (Land) Surveyor since 1983 with an educational background in the Physical Environmental Sciences and a variety of experience in public and private sector organisations including Water Utility, County Council Transport Planning, Archaeology and Oil & Gas Exploration before establishing Amicus Technology in 1991, Ireland's largest provider of Autodesk Civil and Infrastructure software, training & services, before merging in 2014 with Diatec. I have over 30 years experience in Geomatic surveying and as an AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MAP 3D GIS user, trainer and technical support specialist.Please contact me if you think I could help to improve your workflows.
