Key Accomplishments+ Led company wide transition to new, standards based, and web-centric technologies such as VoiceXML, ASR, TTS, and SIP which was directly responsible for a ~44% increase in revenue.+ Enabled and co-created the “Voice Harbor” service to open new revenue streams and diversify customer base.+ Development of strategic partnership alliances while quantifying new market opportunities.+ Cut costs, increased quality, and improved delivery schedules via re-alignment and automation

VoiceXML Hosting based on IBM hardware. This eventually morphed into Vocalocity.

Responsible for managing growth, improving reliability, solving scaling issues, and implementing new products and features for the TeleKey prepaid phone system including fax e-mail, Text to Speech, and voice recognition. Managed telephony and data processing operations with small staff and a few outside contractors. We kept headcount low through superior monitoring and high automation. Responsible for evaluating and selecting technology products, vendors and yearly budgeting for all IT initiatives.My first 2 years we were a private company, then we were purchased by a public company, eGlobe.

Created small consulting group. Responsible for P&L, all sales, billing, and collections. Used employee leasing company for payroll and benefits. Managed employees, contractors, multiple projects simultaneously while programming and managing all systems development projects. Clients included Delta Airlines/AT&T, Lucent Technologies, ArtiSoft/Intel, McKesson/HBOC, Vodavi, and TeleKey/eGlobe.

Worked directly with DiAnaTel’s President creating prototypes of several future product designs. DiAnaTel had a successful product line, but was strategizing about what to do next – then purchased by Dialogic.Developed next generation switching components, protocol conversion units, Vari-A-Bill ISDN features for CAS interfaces (one of the customers was MicroSoft), and a real-time user interface for a portable ISDN protocol analyzer (used by ATT).

Created "EASE: Easy Application Scenario Environment", one of the first (and best) voice application generators in industry. The IDE came with it's own run-time engine that would drive either Perception Technology or Dialogic hardware & peripherals. OEM'd software to NTT, Cognitronics, and MicroLog. Expert was a very successful startup that eventually became part of McKesson, Inc.
