Hi and thanks for viewing my profile.I’m currently teaching Chemistry with Science in an Aberdeenshire secondary school. An inclusive practitioner, I'm also an adaptable and flexible teacher who collaborates with my fellow professionals to achieve positive outcomes for my learners.I became an educator following a successful 20-year career in the energy sector, where I started out in a technical role, before moving into more commercial positions and latterly holding senior managerial posts. In 2020, I decided to change career and began my Initial Teacher Education and transition to become a teacher of Science and Chemistry for secondary school (12-18 year range) pupils.Teaching offers a rewarding and challenging career and I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for science and chemistry in particular, with Scotland’s young people. One of my key aims is to use my extensive industry experience, to offer new and inspiring ways to bring this knowledge to life. Through teaching I’m proud that I am supporting families and developing and shaping their children’s futures.
