Effectively worked with program management and engineering staff to ensure successful integration of technical and program objectives. To address the Communication Management Function (CMF) DO-178B Level D robustness concerns of the C-5 USAF customer, successfully led a cross-functional team of 15 people to analyze the potential failure modes of the CMF Global Air Traffic Management (GATM-CNS/ATM) architecture. Using FMEA and robust test methods, the team developed an alternative approach for analyzing software defects and Datalink message corruption. This provided the customer with an innovative and affordable approach vs. traditional DO-178B methods to mitigate their concerns. Based on the success of this effort, other Honeywell sites have integrating this approach onto their product lines.Managed the Honeywell DSES DO-178B Burden Project efforts to standardize DO-178B interpretation within Honeywell DSES Albuquerque.
