An entrepreneurial minded finance executive with domestic and international finance and operations leadership experience in the consumer-packaged goods, agribusiness, and manufacturing industries. Previously, I was the CFO with Theo Chocolate, I was recruited as a strategic partner to the CEO and served the enterprise as one of three executive officers. I secured $1.1M Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan during COVID-19, managed disbursements, and oversaw the application for 100% loan forgiveness. Formerly, the CFO of Peace Coffee, I operated as a strategic partner responsible for internal controls, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, banking relationships, cash management, insurance, tax reporting, HR and information technology including the implementation of a new ERP system, NetSuite. Additionally, as the COO, I led demand forecasting (green bean purchases), coffee roasting, packaging and product delivery. I also directed food (FSMA) and employee safety related programs. I played a key role in achieving a 9.5% compounded annual growth in sales over a 6-year period by increasing volume of trade promotions, expanding a wholesale distribution channel, and opening four new retail coffee shops.As the former Director of Business Development and Global Controller at Syngenta, I led the finance organization for field crops based in Switzerland. After completing my MBA from the University of Chicago, I was recruited into a finance career at General Mills where I moved through various divisions over 12 years learning different business models before moving to Syngenta.
