Software Engineering Manager
CurrentAruba Networking Telco Solutions AMS R&D Software Engineering Manager- Provide direct and ongoing leadership for a team of ICs designing and developing new products, enhancements and updates.- Manage relationships with global contributing teams and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensure that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with global resources.- Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.- Communicate project status and escalate issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction opportunities.- Provide people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of performance goals, continuous feedback, coaching, and career development; ensure that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.- Understand the security gaps listed for the product and their associated impact from a customer perspective by working closely with related Architects and Product Management.- Help team lay out mitigation plan in alignment with security gap mitigation priority that Product Managers are designating.- Help Security team identify/find suitable resources/skills to build reliable mitigation plans.- Assist as needed with Scrum Master/Product Owner on Security team execution, identify and manage the risks.- Scrum Master of Performance Test team. Facilitate release project planning, task and work product milestones and target dates, resource assignments, status meetings. Mitigate risks, remove barriers and inefficiencies that slow down work.
