As founding manager and director of Posture Balance, Australia’s largest manufacturer of specialist ergonomic seating, accessories, and lifestyle products, I am passionate about being comfortable, especially when I’m working.In recent years, we have worked with both Workplace Health & Safety, and also Facility Management executives both here and internationally to identify the major challenges that both sectors face when providing seating to their staff.The rise and rise of Sit Stand furniture In the Agile Working environment has presented even more physical and cultural issues that need to be considered in the workspace.Inappropriate furniture and poor quality seating combined with intense computer use can generate long-term repetitive stress injuries, and back and neck problems.An ergonomically designed environment generates immediate benefits such as increased productivity and personal well-being saving employers time, money, and their employees’ health and wellbeing. We take pride in contributing to the local economy by keeping our manufacturing onshore and we believe that our furniture is the highest possible quality as a result. As director of the Posture Balance, I am responsible for providing the strategic leadership necessary to navigate our Organization into the future so we can continue to contribute to a happier, healthier, more productive Australia. The role requires a primary focus on driving profitable sales growth, efficient operations, personnel development and excellence in client experience, while supporting an agile and sustainable working environment.On a more personal level I strive to be an innovative and creative strategic thinker, who is comfortable with ambiguity; an honest and inspirational leader with good communication and mentoring skills; and a results-orientated manager with a passion for excellence.
