Beginnend mit Juni 2023 bin ich als Agiler Coach für das Produktentwicklungsteam des MEL90 Excimer Lasers zuständig und helfe ihnen bei der Transition zu einer agilen Produktentwicklungsmethodik. Parallel betreue ich das Team auch direkt als Scrum Master.Dabei ist mein Fokus darauf dem Team bei der Selbstorganisation zu helfen, da ein Grossteil der Teammitglieder nur Teilzeit im Produktentwicklungsteam mitarbeitet. Weiterhin bilde ich den neuen Product Owner aus und unterstütze ihn dabei ein vollständiges high level und detailliertes Backlog zu erstellen und die Anforderungen an das Projekt aus dem verpflichtenden, klassischen Produktentwicklungsprozess zu integrieren.Neben diesen Aufgaben bin ich auch für das Transitionsteam tätig bei der Anpassung des agilen Transitionskonzepts und beim Training der potenziellen zukünftigen Mitarbeiter im agilen Setup.

As Agile Coach and Scrum Master my main responsibility was to set up strcutures and processes to improve the scaling of the agile project management. Among implementing a release strategy based on potentially shippable increments every 2 weeks and a backlog management similar to the SAFe aproach, I coached the product owners in their stakeholder/customer management and in providing consistent and prioritized backlog.Setting up new cross-functional teams that were more co-located was one of the main accelerators introduced by me in this highly distributed (US west coast and east coast, several sites in Germany and Poland, Bangalore, China) and diverse (GUI, front end and embedded development) project team of over 40 developers and QA team members.

In the role of an agile coach, I supported the management of a mid sized med tech company in the implementation of Scrum for the development process of a new and innovative product. Apart from setting up the process and training the pilot team, I did also practically support the initial phase as a Scrum Master.

The task of the project was to develop an automotive aftermarket part through agile methodologies.During the full A- and first half of the B-Sample phase, I coached the teams (specifically the Product Owners) and helped the project management to set up the proper environment to pursue the innovation project using the agile method Scrum.A lot of my coaching was targeted at the mid to high level management and the organisational structures surrounding the project in order to facilitate the work of the Scrum teams involved. In a project developing a physical product the most demanding task was to enable the agile parts of the project to successfully work with the classical parts of the project, like purchasing, controlling and quality management.
