I donate my time to support a Social Enterprise Funding vehicle that invests in renewable and efficiency projects with the sole aim of creating surpluses for reinvestment in furthering the educational outcomes of disadvantaged children.The fund invests in Solar PV and LED projects predominantly in the education sector but also across the third sector. The social enterprise is backed by Santander, DLA Piper, KPMG, Baker Tilly and is accredited by BIS and the DfE. So far we have invested just over £5m with a pipeline of a further £10m of projects over the next 2 years.

I worked on education ICT projects initially in the Academies team working on the Oasis Academies, Harris Academies, Excelsior Academy and others. I then moved into the BSF team and worked on Wolverhampton, Coventry, Ealing, NE Lincs, and Oldham BSF programmes doing a range of tasks.

Managed an ICT team supporting a large secondary school, project managed a wide range of infrastructure upgrades across the school from passive infrastructure design and delivery to CPD and Training - Developed a SharePoint portal linked to Class Server across three schools

Worked on a number of projects over a period of two years on an ad hoc basis improving the use of ICT in internal communications and collaboration. Implemented a hardware upgrade and implementation programme (with refresh strategy) to include devices, IP Telephony, mobile technology and a Microsoft SharePoint platform for collaboration.
