The Advisory Committee comprises senior practitioners, industry representatives, regulators and judges in supporting the Australian Law Reform Commission's review of the framework for financial services regulation.

Initiated the review of cooperation between members of IOSCO. The Committee comprises key global securities regulators and authorities and oversees mutual enforcement cooperation by over 100 members of IOSCO, the global standard setter for securities and financial services regulation.

Executive Director of Enforcement & Market Oversight with responsibility for all the FCA's enforcement work and its functions as the UK Listing Authority oversighting UK's capital markets, including listing and market surveillance and chair of the FCA's Market Policy Committee. As well after December 2021, Executive Director of the FCA's International Division.

Established, with the Hong Kong Government, and served as an inaugural member of the board of the FDRC, Hong Kong's first mediation and arbitration centre for financial services disputes between banks and retail customers.

Board member and responsible for the enforcement of Hong Kong's securities and financial services laws, bringing the first criminal insider dealing cases, ground-breaking manipulation cases, novel use of civil remedies to inhibit and remediate relevant misconduct against listed companies, banks, brokers and hedge funds and led the successful regulatory response to the impact of the 2008 financial crisis on retail investors in Hong Kong (the Lehman Minibond crisis).

As deputy executive director, national responsibility for key criminal and civil investigations and litigation, recovering over $100 million in fines in 2004-5 and over $140 million in 2005-2006 in over 200 cases. ASIC is Australia's national authority for corporate, financial services, securities and consumer law and regulation.
