After many years in the not-for-profit sector, I transitioned to travel and tourism in 2010. I became the Operations Manager at The Urban Safari, a busy tour company based in SF. I served on the senior management team and helped the business launch new products and increase sales. While the owners traveled, I served as interim CEO on several occasions. In Australia, I provided representation for The Urban Safari to local travel agents all over Australia. Since it was one of my passions, I immediately took over the Wine Country Tour and have enjoyed that part of my work for the past several yearsAfter returning from eighteen months living in Melbourne, AU, I continued my work with The Urban Safari as their Lead Wine Country Guide full-time. Since their closure in February 2015, I have now signed on as a full-time guide with Green Dream Tours (GDT). GDT provides high quality tours to Sonoma, Napa and/or both counties in the same day. I am now Class B licensed and can operate shuttle buses up to 20 passengers. I focus on creating a high quality experience for the customer through understanding their needs, communicating fully with them, and then delivering more than they asked. I facilitate employee teams to achieve excellence and surpass our customer’s expectations.
