About Mark Ryckman
Mr. Ryckman founded Remtech Engineers in 1988. He possesses a B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Environmental Systems Engineering from Clemson University and a B.A. in Mathematics from DePauw University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in six (6) states and a Board Certified Environmental Engineer in Water & Wastewater and Hazardous Waste Management & Environmental Remediation conferred by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers & Scientists. He is one of nine engineers nationwide to possess these dual certifications and is listed in Who's Who in Environmental Engineering and Science. He invented a bioremediation accelerator and cleaner, HC-2000 (HC2), that afforded a very cost-effective solution to over 400 contaminated soil and groundwater remediations during the past 17 years. HC2 is a Green Sustainable Technology that enhances the natural degradation processes and accelerates the degradation of refined solvents and petroleum based compounds in soil, groundwater, surface water, railroad ballast, power substations, and other media. He has served as principal engineer on over 10,000 environmental site remediation and multi-media environmental projects since 1975. Mr. Ryckman served as Executive Vice President (for 11 years) for D. W. Ryckman & Associates/REACT with his father Dr. D. W. Ryckman (MIT graduate). Dr. "Rick" Ryckman founded one of the first Graduate Environmental Engineering programs at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri known as ENVIRSAN and an environmental consulting firm RETA (Ryckman, Edgerley, Tomlinson & Associates).
