So I started surveying the landscape to try to fill a need for retailers to bring in more foot traffic.The idea for a mobile Fintech/Adtech platform for gifting was born. I pulled together a development team and another partner to create the business plan, product concept, go-to-market plan and a funding strategy.After assembling a strategic founders group, I was able to cut the prototype development cost 90% from the market rate. I also raised seed funds to get an alpha test started.Ultimately, we were unable to roll out the test. Going through the start-up stages of a technology business provided me great insights into how to evangelize an idea and motivate others to complete work.
