The 361Firm Group enables family offices, institutional investors and thought leaders to collaborate on investments and philanthropies by shared interests and alumni experiences. Since 2015, we have hosted 900+ events (conferences, roundtables, deep dives) in 80+ cities and 20 countries reaching 2K+ family offices, 500+ institutional investors and 8K+ participants overall. For almost 200 weeks in a row, we host Tuesday 11am Briefings and 10:30am Meetups. We now primarily collaborate in four areas: (1) Investments (via Allocator Sessions, Core members with first access & intelligence); (2) Raising Capital for funds/companies via our broker-dealer platform (as a Registered Representative of Finalis Securities LLC, Member FINRA / SIPC); (3) Connecting Partners/Talent (including our CIO Council); and (4) Optimizing Philanthropic Interests 360 stems from hosting alumni roundtables since 2005 and "One Firm" from the global collaborative culture of Arthur Andersen (where 361 co-founders were all Partners). Alumni Connecting! is a "by alumni, for alumni" networking platform where everyone shares “ASKs” so the network can help. We’ve done this for 10+ years in 40+ cities (15 countries) and virtual events since 2018. We now include more schools, strengthening the network for all. This was born out of frustration. On moving from Europe to New York in 2004, founder Mark Sanor (Denison University ‘90, Michigan Law ‘93) was underwhelmed by alumni events, so he started his own. Instead of meeting randomly, he made sure everyone gathered in a circle to introduce themselves. As events grew to 50+, we did Roundtables in breakouts. Even with 250+ alumni in a hotel setting with keynotes and panels, Roundtables remained the main focus. Inspired by mentor Lou Mitchell (Denison ‘57), Mark promised to take this to other cities. By 2015 we hosted in London. By 2018 and adding Michigan Connecting!, we took the “world tour” throughout Asia (e.g. Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore) and Europe.The "world tour" was part of a vision that remains, to enable global networking (Mark was a Partner at Arthur Andersen, whose "one firm" culture encouraged cross-border collaboration). We created Global Groups so alumni sharing interests could connect. Our earlier plans for a tech platform for these communities will soon come into fruition.
