The owner, Gary Mulcahy, and Mark both invested in a startup and Mark joined that company in 2007 as its Board Chair and as an Executive.

After having spent 2 years in London with a Chartered Accounting Firm, he joined RSM in South Bend, Ind, transferred to Chicago where he became Partner in Charge of that office, then to Los Angeles to be the Regional Managing Partner and ultimately to Minneapolis when he became the Managing Partner and Board Chair of the Firm. He retired from the Firm in 2004.He was also the Board Chair of the international firm RSMi for 5 years, overseeing the global growth of the international group to 18,000 professionals. He began his international work by becoming RSM's first International Partner where he was responsible for the success of inbound and outbound client work.
