Architectural Specification and design management expert, supporting architects around the world. Joined Schumann International in June 2021 after 4 years at my previous employer. In June 2016 Schumann Consult Ltd merged with Rider Levett Bucknall after 3 and a half successful years of growing the business.In January 2013 I set up Schumann Consult Ltd with my father Nick, delivering specification and management consultancy services to designers. Previously, I worked for Davis Langdon in 2000 after graduating from University with a First in Project management (Construction). I worked through the ranks of Davis Langdon Schumann Smith as a I.T. Specialist, Specification Consultant and then a Design Project Manager. I have lived and worked in New York City, Moscow and Dubai delivering our specialist services for many of the worlds best Architectural practices. In my 16 years I have delivered multiple large, international design projects on behalf of my Architectural clients in the role of Architectural Design Team Project Manager. In August 2009 I took up the opportunity to relocate to Dubai to become Head of Design Management and Specification Consultancy across the Middle East region. Due to the success and growth I achieved, I became Director in 2011, looking after a substantial team and multi-million $ turnover. In addition to this I provided overall strategy to my current employers consultancy business, sitting on the Consultancy board.In my spare time I built a tool called Architect Map (www.architectmap.net), a global networking platform for members in the built environment to connect with each other using social media tools. I built and developed an iPhone application for this product which has gone on to win best mobile application in the built environment awards. I have a keen interest in technology and social media.
