My primary task is to design and lead the web development of the next generation of the "StepNexus" product line. The StepNexus product line provides systems and support for the MULTOS range of chip-and-pin cards, used worldwide by banks, governments and military installations. I have worked on the design through to the implementation of 3 major systems, including:- StepServer: an online system to allow issuers of MULTOS smartcards to request data to Enable their smartcards, and to obtain load and delete certificates to control the loading and deletion of applications for their cards.- EMV CA: an online certification authority to allow payment card issuers to generate issuer public key certificates and to download their payments system public keys.- X509 CA: an online certification authority that produces X.509 certificates used in 3D-Secure (or equivalent) systems.All systems were developed on SQL Server and .NET technologies, running on IIS Web Servers. MSMQ and Web Services are relied upon heavily on all the StepNexus systems. Additionally, I have worked on a number of proof-of-concept systems and tools using various technologies, including Microsoft MVC and WFC. I have written many documents and procedures, including the StepNexus Web Security Best Practices Document, VB and C# Coding Standards, plus core project related documents, such as technical requirements, high-level designs, release documents, and so on.

Primary system designer and developer of the Contact Centre Desktop (CCD) from design through to the live implementation. In summary; this Microsoft ASP.NET Application is built on SQL Server to deliver a desktop style browser for the Current and Savings Account servicing teams in the A&L contact centres, based throughout the UK. The system allows customer service advisors to access simplified 'quick' processes so that high-volume, complex functions can be carried out. The system also features 3 terminal emulation screens to interface with existing legacy systems, including the ability to screen-scrape and navigate through those screens. The CCD system was successfully implemented across 5 sites with over 400 users and was hailed a huge success throughout the business due to the drastic increase in call turn over times, allowing agents to provide first time resolutions to customers more often. The system also allowed back-office staff to manage, monitor and handle time critical tasks.

Architect, senior developer, system builder and implementer of ICI Packaging Coating e-Commerce portal. The portal includes an advanced user interface, a data access sub-system, a flexible security management and multilingual features, supporting 15 language translations. The system was built on top of Microsoft Commerce Server 2002. Using Visual Studio 6, modules were built using DHTML, XML, XSL, CSS, Java Applets, ASP, VB Script, Javascript, COM/DCOM/COM+, IIS 5 and SQL Server 2000. The system was built in accordance with ICI auditing procedures

Senior developer working on the Extranet/Intranet e-commerce solution for ICI Paints. The system allows ICI Paints and Packaging customers to log into the ICI Paints website to access ICI product catalogues, track their orders, view technical information and browse product brochures. My involvement in the product included gathering business requirements, producing system documentation, system development, coordinating other developers and IT staff, plus building and configuring the development infrastructure. The main technologies used on this project were, Windows 2000 Server, IIS 5, ASP, VB 6 COM, DHTML, HTML, remote scripting, Javascript, MS SQL Server 7, XML and XSL, Visual Studio 6 and Macromedia Dreamweaver 6.

Senior member of the ATLAS project development team, developing a complex Multinational Insurance Accounting Processing System. The core technologies used were PowerBuilder v5 as the front-end and a MS SQL Server database, utilising stored procedures as the business back-end. I designed and developed the initial object-oriented framework for ATLAS. I was the key developer in the conversion of the claims handling modules and the proportional re-insurance areas of the ATLAS system.

Team leader of the NIRAD project development team, developing a Radioactive Waste Management system for the Nuclear Industry. The system was developed in PowerBuilder 5.0 with an Oracle 7.1 database. I was involved in the complete live-cycle of the project, including developing software detailed design documents to standards specified in the EASAMS quality procedures, conforming to British Standards Certification.
