I have over 30 years’ experience in the specialised design of stadia, leisure-related, commercial, and retail projects both in Australia and internationally. With a strong background in structural engineering, I have led numerous large-scale multidisciplinary projects and have a solid understanding of what it takes to lead and coordinate ‘all engineering’ design teams. My experience has been "hands-on" such as spending the equivalent of 12 years full-time on just two projects - the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Marvel Stadium. I also have been the structural engineer on all the stadiums with moving roofs in Australia. I have worked on projects in USA, China, India, New Zealand, Dubai, UK, Indonesia and spent a lot of 2018 in Qatar on the Lusail Stadium for the 2022 World Cup.To feed knowledge back into the industry, I occasionally present lectures at various Melbourne universities and technical conferences, have participated in the PCA Mentor program, and was a member of the Australian Steel Institute's Victorian Technical Committee for 27 years. The following are some projects I have worked on and technical papers I have written or co-authored over the years.
Listed skills include Design Management, Feasibility Studies, Civil Engineering, Steel Structures, and 22 others.
