My technical career has focused on finding ways to make fuel-based energy, propulsion, and other fluid/thermal systems more effective and environmentally sustainable. My early experience was with an engineering firm developing innovative combustion designs for utility and industrial combustors to enhance performance and reduce emissions. I provided engineering modeling and analysis for teams pursuing both engineering research as well as process design to install mature technologies in working power and manufacturing plants.. My transition to a spin-off company enabled a greater degree of engineering research responsibility, developing and demonstrating new product technologies for innovative combustion control, fuel formulations, and safety systems. I was responsible for identification of funding opportunities, proposal preparation, and served as Principal Investigator on resulting contracts leading for multi-organization teams in partnership with major corporations and government research centers.I am currently available as an independent consultant offering services in technical research and consulting, as well as in public and government relations; with specific expertise in energy, environmental and propulsion technology issues. I am happy to address ongoing needs involving traditional fossil fuels and combustion technologies, but have more recently focused on alternative fuel technologies including biofuels, waste-to-energy, and other renewably-sourced energy. I have worked with industry associations promoting hydrogen and fuel cells as a flexible and scaleable platform for power generation, energy storage, and transportation.I am currently available for employment as well as consulting/contract work. Please contact me if you find that my experience can be useful to your needs.
