Strategic thought leader and contributor in the areas of people, design, products, processes and systems. Proudly contributed to releasing Mylo's first P&C insurance product, self-bootstrapping the business to run on Holacracy, designing Mylo's office spaces, creating awesome customer experiences and growing headcount in a culture-friendly way.This position applied rocket fuel to my growth in the areas of systems thinking, employee engagement and organizational design. I also developed a new appreciation for leveraging a purpose-driven approach to solve complicated problems.

This was a side hustle that taught me how to build a business from the ground up. Its mission was to revolutionize the world of recruiting through experiential problem solving. This was a self-funded venture that never achieved full momentum but provided lessons and friendships that will last a lifetime. This role pushed me to learn more about salesmanship, strategic planning and inspirational leadership. It also enhanced my ability to decipher legalese after reading so many legal documents.

Created the (Perceptive Software) User Experience department and led an international team of usability, interaction and visual designers to support a 1,000+ person global R&D division. Responsibilities included consulting with development teams, hiring, budgeting, project managing, building strategic relationships, evangelizing UX best practices, developing strategic plans and mentoring team members. This position introduced and evolved me in the areas of management, leadership, mentoring, coaching, strategy, Agile practices and Experience Design.

Interacted with sales, marketing and engineering teams to evolve Perceptive Software's enterprise content management platform. This environment allowed me to cultivate cross-functional relationships as well as serve as a subject matter expert across a wide range of products. I also managed numerous vendor relationships and delivered engaging presentations at annual user conferences. This position required me to upgrade my communication and emotional intelligence skills. Every day presented opportunities to interact with all sorts of personalities, answer unique questions and respond to urgent requests that required me to stay organized, effectively manage my time and learn how to use data to inform my decisions.

Served as both an intern and full-time software engineer within the Industry Standard Servers division. I gained a breadth of experience working on projects across multiple platforms (e.g. servers, desktops, mobile), programming languages (C, C++, Java) and operating systems (primarily Linux and Windows). I eventually specialized on developing graphical user interfaces and obtained a patent for my work on the NeoServer product line.This introductory position taught me how to be humble, work with cross-functional teams and develop an appreciation for quality assurance. A lot of my deliverables were small portions of larger systems so it became imperative to understand the big picture in order to achieve success for my individual contributions.
