I am also responsible for checking joint fit ups and preparation, monitoring the storage and use of consumables. Duties Welding pipework and pressure vessels to ASME 1X, working on the Lucas Heights Reactor project and supervising on shutdown contracts at Visy Paper, Castrol, Nationwide oil and other industries observing safety regulations.I was involved in a Visy paper shut in Tumut where I was responsible for arranging travel, accommodation and visas for 18 tradesmen from the UK I also sourced over $200000 of equipment.I travelled to the UK to arrange weld tests and NDT and travelled to Helsinki to meet Andritz management and welding engineers to get approvals for our weld procedures and measure boiler panels.I travelled to Tumut to attend pre-shut meetings and after the shut down I catalogued variations and travelled to Melbourne to present and explain the variations to Visy management.
