• Lead and manage 30 direct reports within the Print Finishing and Distribution production departments, responsible for overall decision making of Production control in these areas working consistently within established deadlines.• Interact with multiple premium external clients offering solutions to print production needs. Taking initial design brief from inception through to completion considering function, aesthetics and timings to keep projects on target and within budgets. • Experience of end to end recruitment, responsible for managing and developing the team providing technical training as required. Direct responsibility for disciplinary, redundancy and performance management procedures. • Fully accountable for ensuring safety standards compliance. Maintain Health & safety documentation COSHH, Risk assessments, ISO9001.• Extensive working knowledge of Print finishing machinery including, Esko cutting & milling, Polar Guillotines, Heidelberg Stitching Line and Fotoba Slitting machine and all ancillary machinery associated with the print finishing environment.• Manage an annual procurement budget of approx. £900k, continually striving to identify cost saving opportunities.• Continually assess resource during peak periods and recruit additional temporary staff (approx. 20 additional heads) providing inductions & Health & Safety training.• Accountable for the logistics of the entire operation which also encompasses international distributions with DHL and TNT.• Improved operational efficiency through identifying process issues recognising opportunities for investment, resulting in capital expenditure presentations.• Implemented KPI visual board to track and improve delivery, customer service issues and safety statistics.• Works closely with managers to uncover and assess Lean Six Sigma opportunities.
