dPict Imaging, designs and manufactures innovative DSP-based video acquisition hardware (aka frame grabbers) for OEM customers in vertical markets such as Medical Imaging, Machine Vision and CCTV Video Security.dPict was founded by industry veterans from pioneering companies Truevision and Integral Technologies from where industry-leading designs such as the Targa and the FlashPoint 128 emerged.Among dPict's recent innovations are the recently introduced Nexeon HD and the Analytix 800. The Nexeon HD, a PCI Express board, captures HD (1080i) video and VGA output over DVI with HDMI support. The Analytix 800, a multi-DSP board, off-loads CPU-intensive video analytics operations from the host PC. Video analytics is a fast growing segment of video security where systems are designed to be proactive, thwarting threats in real-time rather than the reactive, “record and review” DVRs in use today. We have boards for both analog (NTSC & PAL) cameras and digital cameras using the Camera Link standard. The dPict Nexeon CL supports the new Power over CL standard (PoCL) to interface with PoCL cameras from CIS, Basler, Dalsa, Hitachi, JAI, Panasonic, Toshiba and Sony. The on-board DSP, a Texas Instruments DM642, allows real-time image processing.
