Mark is a multidisciplinary graphic designer, creative director, Emmy-nominated filmmaker, and educator. His experience includes a stint at the premiere poster house for NYC’s Broadway shows, leading brand design and engagement at a boutique agency, art and creative direction in health and wellness, general consumer advertising, and in-house content creation for an eyewear brand. He offers freelance design and brand consulting to select clients in mental health, hospitality, music, and indie film.Mark’s design and branding work has been recognized by Graphis, HOW, CMYK Magazine, Art Director's Club, Creativity, Creative Quarterly and LogoLounge, and featured in multiple national and international publications. He was a guest lecturer at Kean University, panelist at the AICP Basecamp, and is currently a part time design professor at the School of Visual Arts. He loves mentoring others, and utilizes his teaching experience to inspire, foster growth, and encourage ambition in his direct reports in the agency environment. He’s an unabashed extrovert who loves team dynamics, collaboration, and person to person interaction. Mark co-founded the Emmy-nominated and Clio Award-winning film production company Houndstooth Studios, alongside his wife Courtney. Their short films have screened at Austin Film Festival, Cinequest, HollyShorts, LA Shorts, SIFF, Montclair, Big Sky, Atlanta, Hot Docs, and other Oscar-qualifiers. One of their shorts was picked up for distribution by DUST (Gunpowder & Sky) and High Octane Pictures, and garnered 145K+ online views. Mark and Courtney co-wrote and co-directed their first narrative feature, currently in post production. Mark’s screenwriting credits include recognition from The PAGE Awards, ScreenCraft, and HollyShorts, and placement on The Black List. When he’s not busy making things, he enjoys travel, trips to the movie theater, lively discussion, reading classic Sci-Fi novels, and listening to lots of really good music.
